I don't really like using this, but I know what happens if I don't.We've lived in this house for over 25 years and we're the original owners. We are OK about cleaning out the track for our slider, but just barely OK. And then we realized that the tongue inside the groove of ours had worn out and the slider was toast. Not a cheap replacement.If only we had bent over and used this cleaner once a week to get out all of the crud from years worth of kids and dogs (and me). It's such a simple thing to do and it's such cheap insurance.Just do it.I really don't like cleaning. There, I said it. I clicked on this product because it seemed like something that would make life easier. It does. The large tool for cleaning window tracks is fantastic. I found all sorts of places to clean with it to include:- artwork (it picks up dust along the frame, even in the corners AND you can use it to dust the glass)- window blinds (lay the handle flat and breeze right through dusting)- window panes- baseboardsThere are disposal items out there that can do all of this but if you're environmentally aware these reusable pads are a much better choice!The small brush is okay. I tried it along the rim of my kitchen sink and some of the brush bristles got stuck and came off. I tried using it on the oven door, which has some narrow slots and it didn't do a thing. Honestly, my intention was to use it to clean my keyboard and it cleaned it perfectly!If you haven't cleaned your window tracks for a long time (i.e. years), you're going to need a lot more than this tool. However, if you keep up on your cleaning and get them every six months or so, this tool should keep them in great condition. I love cleaning gadgets because I love a clean house but hate cleaning. I'm always looking for that tool that will make things easier. This is made from plastic, so if you're constantly switching between a flat cleaner and the track cleaner, I wouldn't expect it to last much more than a year or two. But for the price, it's an inexpensive device to make cleaning easier.makes getting into tight cracks a breeze!The Track Cleaning Brush set arrives without any instructions so I had to go back to the site to view all that these tools can do and I’m glad I did. Works great to clean out dirt in the patio door track. A good value for these nifty tools.I was skeptical at first but after using to clean our windows, I am impressed. It comes with a little scraper, brush, cleaning pads that are machine washable and a plastic holder to use with the pads.These particular windows face a forest of pine trees and get dirty rather quickly. I did do an initial vacuum to remove any loose dirt and pine needles. The first window picture shows how dirty this was. Once I used the little scrapper, I was able to remove all the stuck-on dirt, even in the little corners. Then I used the little brush to gather the dirt before I hit it with the vacuum. I then wiped it down with the cleaning pads provided and some glass cleaner.I tried using the holder with the sides extended as shown in the second picture, but I found it clumsy, so I used it flat with the pad installed. I think it would be more useful in a sliding door type track.I would recommend this product.I'm not a big gadget user, but I was tempted by the idea of making it easier to clean slider tracks. It is a plastic base with a handle. You can fold some plastic sections out and make a T-shaped device with a handle, and attach a microfiber cloth to it. 3 cloths were included. There were no instructions, so I had to go back and look through the amazon page to try to figure out how to use it.I didn't see any advantage to the cleaning compared to wadding a damp microfiber cloth into the channel. Both cleaned similarly, and weren't perfect in the edgesI wouldn't get another. This is just another thing to store.
