I bought this to cover a compact SUV to protect it from limescale drips from my garage roof when it rains.I was led to believe by the listing that it would be large enough to cover my car.So results?Well it does protect from lime drips. The limescale (like you get in a kettle) dries and brushes off. The car is protected.It's smaller than I anticipated. The size stated on the packaging is for a narrower car, but actually it does fit. Although it does ride up along the sides a bit. Not an issue for me.The listing states this is COVXXL1 XL .... 430 x 195 x 200cmThe packaging states: XXL1 463x173x143cmIn use?Well, it's a bit tricky to put on the car by yourself. You sort of throw it on the roof, try to figure out which is the front and which is the back, then open it out, all the time being careful not to let it slide on the floor and pick up dirt and stones.The soft liner makes it easy to see which is inside and which is outside. This might sound silly, but I've tried others where it's almost impossible to tell.The car does sweat a bit. After a few days of cover in my garage (large, open, underground garage), the windows and roof are misted up. It might need a bit more ventilation.These covers generally should not be put on a hot car, or a dirty car, or (I think) a wet car, so coming home from a long drive, what do you do? Wait a while, then put it on? What I've done is put in on loosely, covering the main drip spots, then an hour later, go down and pull it over the rest of the car.Taking it off: well that's quite easy because the cover is light-weight. If it's wet, you'd have to be careful not to get yourself wet and dirty. Folding it up and putting it into its original bag? Forget it. I have a larger hold-all that I put it in and leave it in the garage.After several days/trips: I've bought a half-cover and use that to cover the at-risk exposed rear part of the car and that is much better for me.I am keeping the cover though, for times when I intend to leave the car for longer periods.
